'Quinta del Sordo' is a illustrated book inspired by the life of the artist Francisco Goya. The book focuses on the three years the artist spent in the country house called Quinta del Sordo.
Goya decided to move to escape from the violent events that overwhelmed Spain in those years, and to find peace after a near to death experience caused by his disease.
In the house Goya started a period of introspection that led to the creation of the famous group of paintings called Black Paintings (Pinturas Negras). He portayed his bleak outlook on humanity with hounting images, monsters and demons, painting directly on the walls of the house.

The creative process in the book is divided in three chapters:
1- The house



2- Shadows




3- Leocadia
Leocadia is the lover of Goya that lived with him in the house. She represents the change in Goya that led him to leave the house and to never look back to the paintings he created.
